Who operates the app

Vicewatch is operated by Aaron Kio. For privacy questions or requests, contact create@kiobusinesssolutions.com.

Information on your device

The app does not require an account. Wallpaper choices, onboarding status, reminder preferences, and cached news are stored on your device. The launch version does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Optional countdown reminders are scheduled locally using Apple’s notification system. You can withdraw notification permission in iPhone Settings. Optional news and video alerts use a developer-operated service hosted by Supabase and Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

Remote notification information

To register and maintain alert delivery, the app sends an installation identifier, an APNs notification token, notification-category preferences, app version and build, language/locale, and time zone to our Supabase backend. We also store registration timestamps, delivery status and error information, and a hashed installation credential used to protect preference updates. These records are associated with the app installation, not an app account. We use them to deliver requested alerts, synchronize preferences, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot delivery, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. Hosting providers may process network and security logs.

Countdown milestones are local reminders and are separate from this remote-alert service. An APNs token is a notification delivery address; it does not give us access to your photos, messages, or other phone contents.

Online content and external links

The app connects to online providers to retrieve news and images, including GitHub-hosted feeds and publisher or video-provider image services. Those providers receive network information needed to deliver content, such as your IP address and request details, and may retain technical logs under their own policies.

Opening a source link or trailer takes you to a third-party website or app, such as Rockstar Games or YouTube. Their privacy policies apply to activity there. Vicewatch does not send them your locally saved wallpaper or reminder preferences.

Support messages and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, investigate problems, and handle privacy requests. Our email and website hosting providers process information to deliver those services. Website requests may generate technical and security logs, including IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and timestamps.

These two public pages do not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or a public account system. Private administrative services on this domain are separate and are not available to app users.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local app preferences and cached content remain until reset or removed with the app; copies may remain in device backups controlled by you and Apple. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. You can disable notifications at any time. Disabling alerts or deleting the app does not automatically erase existing server-side registration and delivery records. The current service does not apply a fixed automatic deletion period to those records; they remain until removed. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of notification-related information. We may need your help identifying the relevant installation; do not email private credentials or notification tokens.

We retain support correspondence only as needed to address your request, resolve follow-up issues, and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Provider-managed technical logs follow each provider’s retention practices. Email create@kiobusinesssolutions.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information you sent us. We may need to verify that the request is yours; limited records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Security and disclosures

We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect information handled by our services. No system can guarantee absolute security. We share information only as needed with service providers, at your request, or where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.

Children and policy updates

Vicewatch is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We will update this page if our practices change and revise the effective date. New data uses requiring permission will be presented before they are enabled.
